Who to contact

Browsing this website
This is an information website. It has no café customer accounts, online checkout, booking form or newsletter sign-up. The email and phone links open your own email or calling app. Facebook and Instagram links take you to those services.
When you contact Clare
If you email, call or message the café, your enquiry may include your name, contact details, the message itself and information about a proposed visit, event or catering order. These details are used to answer you and discuss or arrange the service you request.
Responding to general enquiries relies on the legitimate interest in communicating with customers and running the café. Information needed to prepare or fulfil a booking or order is processed to take steps at your request before a contract, or to fulfil that contract. Records required by law are kept to meet legal obligations.
Please share only what is needed for your enquiry. For allergies or other sensitive requirements, contact Clare directly to discuss what information is necessary and how it should be handled.
How long information is kept
The appropriate period depends on the enquiry, whether it leads to a booking or order, any outstanding questions or dispute, and any legal record-keeping requirements. Contact Clare to ask about the retention of a particular enquiry or booking record.
Services involved
Email and social media services process messages sent through them. This website is hosted using OpenAI’s ChatGPT Sites service. Hosting services may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details to deliver and protect the website. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the technical information needed to serve those files.
These providers may process information outside the UK. Their privacy notices explain their processing and applicable transfer arrangements. See OpenAI’s privacy policy, Google’s privacy policy and Meta’s privacy policy. Following a social or directions link means that the destination service’s privacy and cookie settings apply.
Cookies and browser storage
The café website code does not set cookies or use local storage for its carousel, menus or gallery. No advertising pixels, café analytics tools, embedded social feeds or embedded maps have been added.
The hosting platform may use cookies or similar technologies for its own functionality and security. Information about OpenAI’s cookies is available in OpenAI’s cookie policy. Any preference controls supplied by the platform apply to its cookies.
You can review or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies can affect platform features. If optional tracking or embedded services are added to this website, this notice and any required consent controls will need to be updated before they are used.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your personal information, have it erased, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive information in a portable format. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Contact Clare using the details above to make a request or raise a concern. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Keeping this notice current
This notice describes the current information website and its enquiry links. It will need reviewing if the café introduces online bookings, payments, customer accounts, mailing lists or tracking tools.
