The Chatty Café at Clarabell’s

A chair for you.
A chance to chat.

Come on your own or bring someone along. Our Chatty Table is a simple way to enjoy a conversation and meet people in Washington Village.

Everyone is welcome

Look for the yellow sign.

You don’t need a special reason to come. Perhaps you fancy a chat, you’re new to the area, or you’d like to spend a little time in good company.

During the sessions below, a volunteer will be at the table to welcome people and help the conversation along. Come in, say hello and join whoever’s there. You can take things at your own pace.

Part of something friendly.

The Chatty Café Scheme brings people together through conversation tables in cafés and community spaces across the UK. It aims to reduce loneliness and make everyday opportunities to connect easier to find.

At Clarabell’s, it starts with one table, a welcoming volunteer and a little time to talk.
